We can’t do it all but we do like to focus our efforts on the ways we can make your job easier.

You can search through the suggestions that are already in the system to see if the one on your mind has already been suggested. If it has, vote for it!   1. In "Assign from scheduled list," - "show all volunteers" it would be helpful to see NEW volunteers sign-ups for ease of assigning shifts

    It is frustrating to go between multiple tabs. If we could see everyone that is signed up AND assigned, to make new sign ups more accessible for ease of assigning!

  2. Including Feedback Fields in API

    My org electronically sends info on all our staff and volunteer contacts with health clients to both state and federal govt every month as part of funding agreement. They require info around the detail of every interaction with clients, and Feedback Fields are the only way we can do this. It would be very helpful to have Feedback Field data included in API so the two systems (client health database and BI) can communicate, without us having to double-enter thousands of hours every month in the two systems.   4. Ability for partial shifts

    When filling shifts, it is extremely helpful to be able to drop a volunteer into an opening for a partial shift. A volunteer may need to split a shift with another, or they may be able to come in early or stay late and help for a partial of another role. Volgistics has the ability to set up the opening, but then customize the shift of the volunteer you are dropping into that opening.

  5. More Flexibility with Reports

    There should be a more user friendly way to query and merge reports, similar to Raiser's Edge. There should be more merge operators, etc.

  6. Allow bulk adding of volunteers to committees instead of having to add each volunteers individual through their profile

    Once a committee is set up, let admins add ALL of the volunteers assigned to that committee in bulk. Currently you have to go into each volunteer's profile to add them, which means something that could be done in one step, now takes 20 steps (if you have 20 committee members). This is completely impractical. Thank you.

  7. Allowing activities to be created using full search parameters, not just qualifications

    The search parameters in Better Impact are excellent, however it would be really helpful if these could be used when creating activities and not just qualifications. Being able to create an activity that applies to those with a certain general interest or a certain custom fields tab would be hugely beneficial.

    Enhance eLearning editor.
    A few ideas here:
    With PC's having higher resolution of monitors, the default display of Sections is quite small - can this be increased to default 4 times what it is now?
    The Editor WYSIWYG in todays standard of editors, seems rudimentary and could do with improved controls like handles for sizing the table, alignment, margin, border, insert links and media?
    Also show/hide the carriage return like in Word as the blanks always creep in and end up being extra blank lines or spacing.
    The colours could be a larger palette of choice.

    Bulk Date Change for Existing Activities
    The new version does not allow a simple bulk DATE CHANGE to ALL activities. We are not adding nor changing activities - just need to update the dates. especially with Covid and needing to change dates - I really think its wasteful time to go into each activity to have to change the dates.

  10. File/Photo Upload to Hours Page of Volunteer Profile

    The ability to upload photos or files for virtual volunteer opportunities that could be completed from home, like a DIY craft project to decorate cards for our homebound services, etc. They eventually drop them off in the building, but we would like a way for them to report that they have done the hour/s and show a picture of their work if they cannot come in right away.

    The videos on the Siteguide for the volunteer step by step don't have audio, and for me it is very confusing. Audio helps to fix the idea and direction.

    We are using Member Impact only as a way of tracking contacts, of which we have many. We have a lot of data to import initially which is fine, but ongoing we will continue to have new contacts to add each month. It would be great if we could import ourselves similar to how you add new subscribers into Mailchimp (either by uploading a spreadsheet or copying and pasting). It is not ideal to have to pay for an import each time we need say 60 new contacts entered, but it is also frustrating to have to enter them one…

  13. Allow Administrators to make documents appear to select volunteers within an organization.

    Why? Administrators will want to make a document available in the Files page of myimpactpage.com for certain volunteers, but not for others. Granted, Better Impact already allows documents to have visibility restricted according to Volunteer Status. What would improve this is going a step further by making an option for Administrators to choose specific volunteers by name to see specific documents.

    Example: Jehoshaphat the Administrator has 20 Accepted volunteers in his account. He would like 5 of them to have a document that outlines the additional responsibilities he has assigned to them. He wants them to find it on the…

    Why? Administrators find it irritating to download a document in order to read it.

    Example: Jarvis can’t quite remember the title of the document he is searching for, but he knows it includes a description of our volunteer types. He looks in the Document Library and finds three documents whose titles look promising. Which one should he choose?     I suggest that set Encounter Filter default as "Encounter Date Descending", since in real the work I have to check "Encounter Date" very often rather than the "Date Created". As for the current default setting of "Date Created Descending", I have to change it to "Encounter Date" all the time, might be a thousand times a day - this is tedious work which is unnecessary.

  17. Application pre-requisite Documentation

    Is there a way to have documentation somewhere of the application pre-requisite? I would like to use this feature, but would need to be able to show some sort of documentation later of the person's agreement. I know that I can use custom fields for that, but am worried about the application becoming too long.

  20. Print a completed Application Form

    We need to be able to print just the completed data from the application form - the profile or printing all the customfields is not suitable. We understand that you can collapse all the fields and then expand the ones you wish to print, but a simple "print completed application" would be awesome. To be able to supply this to third parties where required would be excellent.
