We can’t do it all but we do like to focus our efforts on the ways we can make your job easier.

You can search through the suggestions that are already in the system to see if the one on your mind has already been suggested. If it has, vote for it! The number of votes will be one of the factors we consider as we plan ongoing upgrades to the software. You have a limited number of votes. You can use up to three votes on any one idea.

You might not hear back from us but you can be certain that we pay close attention to what you suggest.

  1. My volunteer page - ability to add extra headings

    Can we have extra sections on MyVolunteerPage to add events, important dates, newsletter etc and be able to attach files to these sections. Currently we only have News, Mission Statement and Files to which we can only attach documents to the Files heading.

  3. Adding the "Suffix" as a Search option

    We actually use the Suffix to keep track of Executive and specific roles of our hospital auxiliary, so that we can distinguish who does what without adding a lot of extra qualifications to our list. We chose not to add qualifications as the Auxiliary are not directly volunteers of our, yet we still manage of few administrative pieces for them and invite members to our recognition events. Being able to search the Suffix to filter down to the Executive, Gift Shop volunteers, etc would be of great help.

  4. One report that allows volunteers to see who they will be working with during an activity/shift and how many slots need to be filled

    One report that fulfills both objectives: shows who will be working on a shift and how many slots need to be filled. I would also like to be able to give access to those volunteers to see that schedule.

  6. Searching at enterprise level

    It would help if all the search options that show at impact account level would also show at the enterprise level e.g. trying to find the volunteers who are assigned and confirmed. Currently you can search at impact level for all volunteers who are assigned and confirmed against a particular category or activity. When trying to search at enterprise level the options are more limited. It would also help at the home page if the number accepted could be seperated out to show how many of those have been assigned and confirmed to get the number of active volunteers quickly.

  8. Ability for volunteers to download monthly rota showing all scheduled shifts

    At the moment volunteers can only export a rota of their own shifts each month which means that I have to send them a complete rota. In our organisation volunteers need to know who they are scheduled to work with and whether or not to expect people for the second shift. They have unanimously requested this feature.

  9. Single activity by month schedule

    This calendar format currently prints out volunteer names as surname followed by first name. We post this rotas up for volunteer to see and they have commentated how impersonal it is to have the surname first. Could it be swapped around or have the option to swap around when we export it?

  10. Allow volunteers to schedule themselves and one other designated person (such as a spouse or volunteer partner) from one profile login.

    Our ushers schedule themselves and often have to login for Mary and choose a shift and then logout, login for Bob to choose his shift. Often times once Mary is signed up, Bob has been locked out b/c other ushers have filled up that shift. Being able to see the number of shifts left has helped, but there is still frustration that couples can't both get onto the same shift. Is there a way to allow those who request it the ability to schedule two people from one profile?

  11. Enter and Lock Volunteer Policies at Enterprise Level

    It would be beneficial to be able to enter and lock Volunteer Policies at the Enterprise Level, so that Volunteer Policies are consistent across Departments and to eliminate the possibility of Department Level Administrators corrupting the Policies text.

  12. Episodic volunteer Category

    For one time or once per season volunteers for a specific event. Ability to create a simpler registration form and process to support collection of their pertinent data - for statistics and communications purposes.

    By having the separate category (where applicant, accepted etc are) they can be more easily kept out of the daily functional use of VI.

    We have volunteers that sign up to numerous activities, please could we have a search funtion that allows us to see what date a volunteer has signed up to a specfic activity.

    Hello Supporters!

    We’ve updated the assigner dialogs to include a “sign up date” column that shows the date and time the volunteers signed up for the shift!

    While this doesn’t answer the direct request for a search based on date signed up for an activity, it hopefully can help some of you who have commented on needing to see that date/time when assigning the volunteers.

  15. Expand search and email Role Filters to differentiate between Limited Access Administrator roles

    Now that we can create Limited Access Administrator roles at the Enterprise level, it would be great to use those different roles as search and email filters (eg. to send an email to all organization coordinators but not subadministrators like crew supervisors).

    Provide the ability to have the items in a custom options field list displayed in a specific order, rather than just alphabetical order. Currently, to force the order of options, you must place a number in front of the text, or something else to force it into the desired order.

  20. Volunteers to have monthly view of shifts per activity

    Allow volunteers to have a monthly view of shifts per activity real time as a report. Currently an admin sends out this view to ensure all shifts are covered, but it becomes out of date when people add and delete. If a volunteer could do it themself, it would be accurate and allow better dispersion of shifts.
