We can’t do it all but we do like to focus our efforts on the ways we can make your job easier.

You can search through the suggestions that are already in the system to see if the one on your mind has already been suggested. If it has, vote for it! The number of votes will be one of the factors we consider as we plan ongoing upgrades to the software. You have a limited number of votes. You can use up to three votes on any one idea.

You might not hear back from us but you can be certain that we pay close attention to what you suggest.

  2. "Select All" Field on Sign Up Menu

    Add some kind of warning that the volunteer has selected the "Select All" item from the top of the Sign up menu. If a Volunteer accidentally selects that item in my system they can be assigned to many activities because all our volunteers make their own schedules..

  3. Make Volunteer Policies visible after registration is complete.

    Have a place for Volunteer policies to be visible to volunteers for review after the initial registration process. Also if updates to the policy are made, a way to share the updated version with all volunteers. Also a way to track who has 'checked' that they accept the policies.

    Add the ability to search based off of a location. For example: All Accepted Volunteers within 50 miles of Springfield, MO or All Accepted Volunteers within 2 miles of 63703 zip code.

  5. Further enhancements to volunteer quick search bar

    It would be interesting to see what else could fit into a typical user's 'template' within the quick lookup bar. Perhaps their preferred phone number and time? email address? status? What would be useful in this context and perhaps not even require a jump to their profile?

  6. Add alerts & basic schedule status info to main screen

    Would be nice to work scheduling-based info into the admin's main homepage in some way. Possibly...

    • Number of shifts in the next week at each for four possible shift statuses
    • Visual representation similar to the new visual schedule interface
    • Specific alert list of upcoming shifts without enough volunteers

  8. Activity Times to be Entered

    Good morning.
    I have a suggestion for your template coders:
    When adding a new activity, after entering the Beginning Time, have the Finishing Time automatically default to the same as the Beginning Time so the person entering the information doesn't have to scroll down as far and also prevents entry of a Finishing Time that is before the Beginning Time.
    Does that make sense?

  9. Cancellation/no show report

    We need to track our cancellation/no show stats monthly and for now we are using a work around that works only because during COVID our volunteers are not signing up for or cancelling shifts on their own. It would be great to have said report. Perhaps when a volunteer cancels they can document the reason as well.

  10. Automatically removing volunteers from the schedule if they are switched from active to inactive

    This is a feature that Volgistics has, where as soon as a volunteer is marked inactive they are removed from any scheduled shifts. This is helpful when a volunteer wants to take an extended break or if they decide they don't want to volunteer at all but we aren't ready to archive their account.

  11. Add activity setting to require volunteers to be assigned before they can log hours

    We’d like the option to be able to require that a volunteer be assigned to an activity to be able to log hours to that activity. It would be great if this could be a setting for each individual activity so it could be applied as needed, and not as a setting for the whole account.

    It would be helpful, too to be able to move the hour logging settings (with/without approval) from the account level to the activity level, so the admins over each activity can assign the most appropriate setting for that activity.

  12. Being able to assign volunteers to a specific role for an event but not letting them know what that is until they get to the event

    This has been created based on comments left in another suggestion. The suggestions have been separated so that we can have a better understanding of the level of support for each variation of the idea.

  13. Showing Enterprise news on the mobile app

    We use the Enterprise level news a lot but this doesn't show on the mobile app. We'd love this to be something that is developed.

  14. Scrolling social media feeds

    The social media feeds take up FAR too much real estate on a page. There should be an option to make the social media feeds scroll. At the moment, when you put the social media feeds e.g. on the right of your page, it takes up a HUGE amount of space which then leaves huge white spaces to the left of it

  16. Add note log to wider reporting

    It would be very useful to be able to include note logs in reports on specific groups of volunteers, rather than the current note log report which includes all notes made for all vols with no filters available.

  17. Personal Note Field on (Very) Top

    Is there a way to move the Personal Note field so that it appears above the image gallery? We like having our Flickr account on the home page so that volunteers can see things our Marketing Team is posting. But the Personal Note would certainly be more noticeable if it showed up right below the tabs on the homepage...

    I also second comments requesting that this field can be formatted. As of now, there’s no way to start a new paragraph or edit any of the text (bold, italic). This would really help us, as we leave hospice patient/assignment information…

  18. Allow automating routing back to organization website when application is submitted.

    Allow for option in Organization Settings to make it so that when someone clicks SUBMIT after completing the application, they are taken directly back to the organization webpage (e.g. organization can specify page on website to send back to).

  19. Archive Committees

    In order to manage the number of committees that are seen, it would be great to be able to archive or make inactive committees that are no longer being used.

    I suppose we could delete them, but that seems counterintuitive to standard database practices of keeping data around in case it is needed later on.
