  1. Schedule e-mails to volunteers

    It would be awesome to have the ability to schedule e-mails for the future. Sometimes I want to send a note to a group of volunteers on a date or time other than when I'm working or have access to the database (or when I'm on vacation!).

  2. Recording Volunteers Who Miss Shifts

    When a volunteer signs up for a shift but does not show up, it would be great if we could obviously track this in their schedule. An administrator could turn the scheduled shift red for "no show", blue for "excused no show" etc. This way we could easily track volunteers who are consistently missing shifts.

  3. Additional Application Forms

    We would love to have the option of creating more than 3 application forms, and would even be willing to pay for them! Currently I could think of several volunteer opportunities that could have their own application forms: adult volunteer app, youth volunteer app, group volunteer app, event volunteer app, disaster response volunteer app. Currently, we are having to combine our applications or alter them throughout the year to accommodate our needs for all these different applications, and it would be so useful to have separate forms for each.

  4. Allow admins to add volunteer status change reasons.

    Admins should be able to configure their own reasons for volunteer status changes and have the flexibility to add reasons as needed.

  5. automatic email when assign

    Automatic email goes to volunteer when Admin assigns them saying you've been assigned to "whatever" project/event. This way volunteers when know when they've been assigned. Or a week out, they get an email saying you have not been assigned, thanks for signing up but we won't need you, or feel free to contact the staff to make sure all is filled.

  6. Work Group Hours

    Currently when you sign up a work group for multiple volunteers, it only logs the hours for 1 volunteer. It would be nice if it would log the hours for as many volunteers that are in the group.

  7. Automated emails that could be sent when milestones are triggered

    Would be great if we could automate "congratulations" emails to volunteers when they hit a certain number of hours, finish their first shift, etc. Could also be a way for organizations to encourage volunteers who've hit a certain amount of hours to take additional actions to advocate for their brand and share with friends, review on Google, etc.

  9. Automatically sending Happy Birthday emails

    It would be nice to be able to send volunteers automatic happy birthday emails or texts from a pre-made template. That way coordinators will never mistakenly miss a birthday, or have to send early/late birthday wishes, or have to send individual birthday notifications to each volunteer (which can be time consuming if you have a lot of volunteers!)

  10. Volunteer status change report

    A report that shows the number of volunteers whose status changed into each of the status categories within the defined time period. This would answer questions such as how many volunteers applied in the past year and how many quit etc.

    It would be great if volunteers have a common place to discuss or update each other on volunteering matters, similar to a forum or a discussion page.

  12. Limiting the number of shifts for which a volunteer can sign up

    For particularly popular activities or events, such as a trip or concert, where volunteers gain access to the event for their service, it would be nice to limit the number of shifts they can sign up for to allow more volunteers to sign up and enjoy the event. This also proves true for our training classes, which I have several new volunteers clogging up the system by signing up for numerous sessions of the same class without reading any of the requests not to do so.   13. Receive notifications of missed shifts

    If a volunteer does not log hours during the time they are scheduled for an activity, the administrators and the volunteer will both receive a notification alerting them to the fact. The administrator can then follow up.

  14. Automatically sending an email notification or stopping the timeclock if a volunteer forgets to clock out.

    Sometimes our volunteers forget to stop their timeclock after volunteering. It would be great to send them an email notification to remind them to log their correct hours for that activity that day. Another option would be to automatically stop the timeclock at midnight and record 1 or 2 hours if the volunteer forgets.

  15. Adding pronouns field into Contact Details

    Adding pronouns option into contact details field when volunteers sign up to Volunteer Impact.

    This allows us to identify the pronouns a volunteer would like to use before we contact them or interview them.

    In 2020 we should be normalising conversations about gender, and show trans and non-binary equality. This avoids anyone making assumptions or mistakes with pronouns ahead of talking to the volunteer.

  16. Add a timestamp when volunteers complete an eLearning Module

    We use eLearning Modules for our volunteer orientations, and for reporting purposes, we need to know on which day someone took our orientation to become a volunteer. Right now, we have to enter than manually when we get the email notification that someone took the eLearning Module, which is time consuming and tedious. It would be great if the system would show a time & date stamp of when a volunteer passed an eLearning Module so we could search by that.

  17. Set Reminder Timing (i.e. 1 day, 3 days, 1 week)

    While the one week and two week prior to activity reminders are great, it might be nice if volunteers could adjust their settings, to receive reminders to their preference (for example 1 week prior and 24 hours prior). Seems like an easy addition to the code since they already go out on a set schedule based on preferences.

  18. Post Electronic Liability Waiver/Volunteer Release separate from volunteer policies

    We'd love to be as paperless as possible, and it would be great if there was a space (or custom field option) where we could fit our volunteer liability waiver/release form in its entirety (without having to click the small "i" icon) for volunteers to read and then sign electronically when they sign-up. This would look different from the current option to require volunteers to agree with the organization's policies (since you must click to open the uploaded policies and a liability release is different from policies).   19. A list of volunteers according to their last date of service

    Each month I have to go through the list of volunteers and send reminders to anyone who has not worked in the last 60 days, and after 90 days they are removed from our active volunteer list to make room for new applicants. A list according to their last date of service would make this process so much faster and easier.

    Hello Supports of “A list of volunteers according to their last date of service”!

    Does the saved searches feature introduced in version 4 solve this need for you?

    If not, can you give us some more details on what a page list this would look like, what you could do from it, and how you would use it?

  20. Be able to give limited administrators access only to certain activities and the volunteers that are assigned to those activities

    We too are unable to warrant using the Enterprise system but will soon have multiple limited administartors accessing the data.
    While they are limited in their access the fact that they can view and access the data is a privacy concern.. We have aready had one admin experiment with bulk changes and messed up up the data. This would have been avoided if they were only assigned to the required activities.
