We can’t do it all but we do like to focus our efforts on the ways we can make your job easier.

  1. Daily option when scheduling activities

    In addition to "weekly" and "monthly", it would be nice to have an option to have a "daily" recurring schedule. We have a lot of activities with shifts that are the same each day.

  2. Show Activities in Opportunities Calendar Even When Locked

    Our volunteers want to be aware of all activities - even if there are no signups available. While the Opportunities List may still show locked activities, Calendar View is still the go-to view most of our users use. The only change needed would be to gray-out the Signup button when the activity is locked. Or, you could present a message if someone tries to signup for a locked activity informing them that no openings are available at this time. Thank you.

  3. Default parameters for activities

    It would be really great if admins could set up default parameters for activities. An example would be that if a certain qualification was required for all volunteers, that could be set up as a default option for all newly generated activities. This would be a time saver for admins. The need to click a certain parameter each time a new activity is created would be great!

  4. Make it easier for volunteers to log into their account

    We often get people who don’t know how to log into their account from when viewing an event via the events hyperlink. That’s because it’s a small hyperlink ‘log into your account’ in the top right corner. Why not have a button at the bottom of the page that says ‘log into your account’? Similar to the ‘fill in an application’ button that’s in the top right.
    So my request is to please add a button at the bottom of the page, under ‘schedule summary’ and ‘dates’ that says ‘log into your account’. If that’s not an option, then add…

  5. Would love the ability to clone a "team" onto multiple similar days

    Our activities are single day, but repeated multiple times. (In my case yacht race management, but I'm sure the problem is generic). We have a "series" that runs over a period of time, usually on the same day of each week. Each of those days is an "event". Each event has an identical list of "activities" which comprise the "team" (up to 15 or so specific roles), probably calling it a "category"?
    Once I've set up the definitive "team" of specifically qualified volunteer roles, I would love to easily clone this for each (selected) date in the Series calendar

  6. Have an Activity field for the Coordinator and make it time stamped

    this way we can report on Coordinator workload and track changes when an activity moves to another Coordinator. Coordinators could also then easily run a report for just their Activities without having to run the report for all activities and then filter out what isn't theirs. Very time consuming.

  8. adding volunteers to activities from the manage activities page

    Often I am adding an activity for a specific volunteer or group of volunteers. It would be great, after managing/scheduling an activity, if I could then also add a volunteer to the date added. Right now I have to add the activity then go to the individual's profile or assign it from calendar.

  9. Adding the option to add automatic 24 hours reminders for activities

    Based on the activity, it would be nice to set automatic reminders X hours before the start time. These would be very helpful, especially for trainings of new volunteers until they get into the swing of things.

  10. Add a dropdown menu to tag general interests applicable to the activity to aid in filtering opportunities for volunteers

    Currently, the filters only get applied to activities based on qualifications and availability. By adding General Interests to each activity when it is set up, the volunteer will get a list of activities that is a better fit to what they might be interested in vs. just qualified/available.

  11. Unscheduled activity that has selectable date (by volunteer) and show on reports

    It would be nice if we could have an activity type.... that is unscheduled, that date and time is selectable by the volunteer and it shows on the schedule report so administration can see that a volunteer will be arriving for an unscheduled activity.

  12. Ability to delete past, inactive activities

    Our inactive list is loaded with past activities that we will not use again nor edit. It is our understanding we cannot remove these as they have hours connected. It would be great if the hours remained in individual profiles but the activities we no longer need could be GONE and no longer on a list. Inactive to me are activities we may use again.

    Ability to download activity descriptions offline into excel or word for example. Individually or multiple at once would be great! Would be great for updating old descriptions.

  15. Automatic confirmation email when role is confirmed

    When a volunteer is confirmed, either automatically or manually, there should be a an automated email to let them know this! At present nothing happens which is going to leave people wondering if they did it correctly.

  16. When Creating a Shift in the Manage Activities Function - to be able to name that shift (e.g. Warden 1 or Steward position 2)

    For example, we have 4 guides in on any given day 3 Guides and 1 support. Currently we have 4 guide opening each day but it would be easier if we could have "Guide 1", "Guide 2", "Guide 3" and "Guide Support" etc. This is confusing for out team because every guided tour goes at different times and we'd like to able to be clearer about what time people on shift.

    This naming facility would also benefit other volunteer activities/roles, and I suspect it would be of benefit to other organisations too

  18. Volunteering start location integrated with what3words.com

    I have been using what3words app to send out the location of where the volunteer is suppose to meet. It would be nice to integrate it when setting up Activity schedules for the volunteers.

    It narrows down any location on earth to a 10 x10 area and it works without Cell service.

  20. More Comprehensive Calendar

    It would be nice to have the option to add things to the calendar that are not volunteer activities. Holidays, days our office is closed, community events that directly impact our organization (fundraisers, etc.), board meetings. That way volunteers wouldn't have to use a different platform to view our master schedule.
